Russell got hurt in 2006 during the Tennessee game and Flynn came in and stunk it up.

That funny word "TECHNIQUE" keeps coming up, you would have thought we would have a QB coach that could teach this stuff (throwing, reading D, options, scrambling, feeling pressure) who da thunk it?

gary only ran the option a few times in the first two years he was here. a few times with RP early in the year but not much after the florida game. did it a bit in 08 to mix some things up, not much.

he ran it last year, only because we couldnt block a damn wam or stretch play to save our life. so instead of giving it to the back and letting him get tackled for a loss or a gain of one yard, we ran the option and would lose a yard, lose 4, gain 10, gain 6, lose 3, gain 5, and things like that.

but the only option plays anyone remembers are the ones that dont work.

So we either have two QB that are incapable of learning simple technique, or we have a QB coach that glosses over pretty important details.

or they don't think investing the time is worth it when you run the play 5 times a game at the most. For the most part the play typically got positive yardage, it's not a strategic part of the game plan.

It doesn't take a week to teach this technique. Hell, it doesn't take an hour.

Must be the white mice principle Crowton is using. You see, even white mice learn through repitition. So be patient, and one of these days that option play might work.

Or maybe someone needs to send Crowton a message telling him his option play isn't working.

I am still confused as why we try to run the option when we clearly do not have an option/running QB

As we all are.

That play shouldn't even be in the freaking playbook unless RS is behind center full time, but that aint happening since he requested a transfer to WR of his own accord and freewill. If Crowton would stick him in there at QB just to run it, everybody in the stadium would know it's coming, rendering the play as useless as when JJ runs it.

If Crowton continues to call that shite with JJ/JL and it continues to be a failure, he needs to released at mid-season. (With BG taking over the play calling) His rope is even shorter than LM's is..........
