More money and control for the TAF, fewer options and more expense for joe fan on a tight budget (so they can rent their own). Its just another in a long, growing, list of reasons to just say to hell with it,I'm staying home.

Chair back seats will be turned away, but seat cushions with no back are still allowed.

Could it simply be because it sucks having to sit behind one of those and whoever is in charge of that sort of thing finally realized it? We already don't have enough leg room and even less when some douche brings his lazy boy to strap onto the bench

If your budget is so tight that you can't afford the $40/seat rental charge, then you shouldn't be buying the $500 season tickets.

Bottom line: people were abusing the seat back's by bringing in these enormous contraptions that were limiting their neighbor's area.

Bring back the old metal with 30 year old canvas/burlap cover monsters that were rentable for a quarter or so until the FSU "Orange" game in the early 1980's. I still have visions of those things flying in the air along with the oranges. What a game.

I'm confused, old man river says chair back seats will be turned away. yet you say it's still ok for this year?
I was walking in the game saturday with my foam pad seat and some guy is walking out loudly screaming about a new policy this year. IDK what he was talking about or remember what kind of seat cushions he had in his hands. I have both the seat cushions and seat cushions with back support that i have used in the past.

I sat in seats with the new chair backs. They were comfortable and kept me from leaning back into the next row. Unfortunately a lady in front of me brought her own chairback which she set up a couple of inches off the the back of the bench. It was all I could do to avoid knocking her out (accidentally of course) with a knee. My neighbors left at half then it was okay. I guess they will have to ban fan chairbacks.

Check out the Football Fan Guide under Fan Zone on LSUsports.net - page 76. Stadium seats with backs are allowed.... if they are 16" wide or smaller. Sorry, can't link for some reason.
