Anyone eat them during the summer? If so have you ever had problems? I have never eaten them during the warm months but have a craving for some.

Yeah I loved them grilled but want some raw. I know the risks but have never met anyone that had problems with them.

Good luck finding them. But if you do, eat away. Refrigeration revolutionized the seafood industry decades ago.

I eat them all throughout the year. They have them everywhere. Just go to chimes, acme, etc. I've never gotten sick once from eating them during the summer (knocks on wood).

I had them in April or May at Chimes...first time I've gotten sick from eating them and I usually eat them a lot. It was the oysters because 4 other people at the table got sick too. I probably won't eat them till the weather gets cooler.

I'm not gonna say where they got them ^^^ but the people in their party that ate them got sick.

I love raw oysters. I've gotten sick once. I was on the toilet for about 3 days. It was awful. It took me about a year to get the courage to eat them again. We have a good relationship at the moment.

I've had them year round, but stick to the cooler months usually.

I think they have a better taste in winter.

The warmer months do increase chance of bacteria
