Not a bad list, I agree with most of it. Rob Dibble is most likely the worst I've ever heard. Being a D'backs fan, Daron Sutton and Mark Grace are very good IMO.

Yes, he and Sutton work well together. It makes watching the games a little easier when your team is in the cellar.

Victor Rojas was the long-time lead Spanish announcer for the Rangers. Glad to see him move up and get a gig on a main broadcast.

I know there are quite a few Rangers fans on this board, how would you rate our announcers?

Kevin Millar doing the Braves game on Fox Saturday as the color man was absolutely excruciating.

I'm pretty sure Rojas was the second man in the booth with Eric Nadel, not on the Spanish broadcasts.

To your question, Nadel is as good as they come IMO. Dave Barnett is okay (but a huge improvement over Rojas, who I couldn't stand).

On the TV side, Josh Lewin is horrible. He thinks he's a lot more clever and funny than he actually is. Tom Grieve is decent, but unfortunately for him, he has to put up with Lewin. The fact is the Rangers have not had a good TV announcer since Mark Holtz.

Dick Enberg (Padres) being left off that list is weak.

The dude is an absolute pleasure to listen to. And considering that this is his FIRST year it's scary how good he might be in 4 years.

My least favorite is easily that fricker with the unbearable lisp who calls the Rangers game. I hope he falls off the balcony at the BinA and dies.

"Thay did you know that I altho call the Than Diego Chargerth football gameth? We'll really mithh Ladanian Tomlinthon thithh year! But Philip Riverthh ithh thhucthhh a thhhtud!"

The only one I dislike more than him is Dibble. I never really cared for the Rangers before I had to listen to that guy, but he made me hate them.

Hiring a guy with a terrible lisp to call sporting events is like hiring a dude with a 1 inch penis to screw the stupid out of kim kardashian.

millar was atrocious. The Rangers guy with a lisp is just plain annoying. I don't mind chip caray though he does seem to interject his opinion a little too often instead of letting the color guy do it. My fav was Skip Caray w/ Joe Simpson. Pete Van Wieren was also really good.

I really like Joe Simpson and John Smoltz now. Smoltz may get snatched up by ESPN soon. The way he describes what's going on in the pitcher's minds is really neat

I'm a fan of the Astros' guys... especially Deshaies, and I couldn't agree more with their pick for the worst.

Enberg's a veteran sports announcer who's getting up there in years. If anything will happen in 4 years, it'll probably be him showing signs of old age catching up to him ala Dick Stockton or Keith Jackson in his last years. Enjoy him while you can.

While I think Steve Stone is a worthwhile commentator, he's an even bigger douchecannon. And Hawk Harrelson has to be the most biased, overcompensating duffel bag full of cocks I've ever listened to. I really hate that guy.

Being a Cubs fan, I have to say that as good as Pat Hughes is in the booth, listening to Ron Santo is frustrating. You can only take so many "GEEZ" or "GAH" or "OH, COME ON!" comments. He seriously brings the WGN radio call down. I'd be happy if Pat Hughes did the games on his own.
