Mullen at #3 and Petrino at #5?

This list is a joke....and if you disagree you're a racist.

Dan Mullen is a really good coach. I'd love for him to come to LSU.

That seems fair.

Saban and Meyers are unquestionably better coaches than Miles.

Nutt has humiliated Miles three years running.

Richt has beaten Miles on two out of three occassions, inclusing the SECCG.

Petrino and Mullen are debatable, but they have each generated very close games with LSU despite having far less talent by any objetive measure.

Doesn't recruit well enough to be ranked so high

Mullen is not in the Top 6...sorry

This list is very fair.
And the reason for having CLM at that spot explains it pretty clearly, "fair or not."

The list is obviously an opinion. But to say this opinion is ridiculous is simply not true.

Not that far off really...if you take potential growth into consideration.

Mullen is a little high right now, but he had Miss. State playing at a pretty high level with players that wouldn't make the list of walk-ons at LSU.

Nutt is underrated among SEC fans. The guy consistently fields very competitive teams, no matter the talent level. I know many believe that he under achieves because he doesn't win championships, but he does more with less (similar to Mullen).

Sorry, but Patrino is where he needs to be. The guy might be a weasel, but he can flat out coach.

Miles...should be lower. The guy is borderline incompetent and simply can't coach. He might bring in top talent, and that talent will win a number of games for him, but he doesn't develop that talent. More importantly, he gets worked every Saturday from an X's and O's standpoint.
I know he won a national championship, but LSU didn't win due to his amazing coaching. LSU got lucky as hell and that team should have gone 9-3 or 8-4. Again, top-tier talent and good luck will get you far in a program like LSU.

Sorry...but his opinion of Mullen being the 3rd best coach in the SEC is the definition of ridiculous.

I stand corrected....this is the definition of ridiculous.

I think you could put UM3 and Saban in either position, 1 or 2. Both have the same NC resume. The only nod I give to Saban over UM3 is they're currently defending.

Most coaches would have gone 2-11 or 1-12 with that type of talent. Mullen went 5-7 and should have beaten LSU. :praisesChadJones:
Not to mention, Miss. State was competitive in almost every game last year.
Unless last year was just an accident, he proved he can coach in the SEC.

Being objective enough to call out mediocrity due to sloppy coaching is ridiculous?

No...but calling a NC winning team mediocre is. Some of ya'll like to claim the "reality" angle but honestly, your hatred for Miles is blinding you from any sense of reality.
