Just talked to a friend whose office is right there. He said it was awful. He had no idea it was Chad until I told him. He said he saw a decent amount of blood. Pray for this kid.

Looks like the A pillar on the car was cut out by the jaws of life. The support for the Windshield is gone.

That would allow some of the collapse of the dash and roof.

But still looks pretty darn bad. Hopefully he was wearing his seat belt.

if it was a lightpole, was it 10 feet wide? i mean, by the looks of that picture, the front of the car was just smashed and looks like something fell onto it. idk, though

if anyone has driven on Carrollton and those other streets, they can tell you they're in very bad shape. Blown tire is very possible given those street conditions

That's actually what I was thinking. Driving Carrollton and some of those streets around there is a nightmare. It'd be very easy for something bad to happen very quickly, especially in a vehicle you're not accustomed to (if he did buy this yesterday).

Falling asleep and getting tangled with one of those cement light poles makes sense. Damn.........

I'd say someone in any less top physical condition might not have been so lucky to be alert at the scene.

I see the Giants' board has been linked to TD. While you frickers are here, Trey Junkin.

WWL isn't really updating. Guess there's not much news to be told for a while.

Hope the guy's alright. That car isn't pretty.

I'm not an expert by any means but I've worked many MVAs as a medic and this is what I see.

impact was obviously front-quarterpanel.
The room in the cabin above the head is deceiving, the dash(under the sterring wheel) impacted his legs, the seat has been moved back during extrication(look how close the front seat is to the back seat) I know that he probably lays back while he drives but look and the seat part of the back seat in relation to the back of the front seat.

I'll put money on him having both a head injury and massive lower extremity injuries.

My prayers go out to CJ!

Yeah, I didn't catch the bienville area part. I was thinking heading toward St. Charles because that's where my mind initially went when I first heard Carrollton. I don't get above the interstate much.

again, that part of carrolton might be the smoothest street in all of New Orleans, you all are thinking of the strectch of Carrolton uptown, which is under such heavy construction right now, that you can realistically do no more than 25 mph. it had nothing to do with poor roads

I saw the RR on my way to work - it was very bad. I thought to myself that unless the person was very small they didnt make it. Say your prayers!
