2002 I believe, it was in the Box against ULL

we lost to ULL in the winner's bracket game and then came out of the loser's bracket to beat them twice. Tensions were heated and carried between the 2 teams and both dugouts were warned at one point.

The standing ovation USC's Jacques Jones got from the RF bleachers after he hit his third home run of the game. The kid probably still tells people about that.....

LSU coming from 8-0 to beat Cal St. Fullerton in 2000 I think.

I was pretty young, but I vaguely remember LSU coming back from way behind against ECU in 99 or so

Oh man that Long Beach game was TENSE!!!! That was the gold jersey year. We lost to USA and changed during the rain delay so we technically didn't lose in them. Then we had like 4-5 runs in the ninth and Pat Coogan closed it. We then battered USA like 15-5 and 15-4 in two games to move on.

1996 Georgia Tech game. We were displaced from our usual seats in old Coaches Committee section in R field. Had to sit in l field. Some guys sitting behind us were talking about how "we just didn't have it this year" and would never make it to Omaha. Then we had the 18 run inning and I knew no one would stop us!

Don't forget, that was the year after the Super Regional against Tulane at Zephyr Field. The Tigers also had to play Tulane and CF Kaplan was still talking major trash. Once after he got on base, he smoothes out the dirt between first and second and yelled at LSU'S pitcher (forget who it was) that he was gonna steal and there was nothing they could do to stop him. The Tigers pitched out and nailed him at second. The Box went completely nuts.

Southern Mississippi on the Saturday night in 2008, just because me and my friend snuck in.

Couldn't get tickets, so we went around to the left field side where they bring in consessions (at the old Box), and the gate was wide open and unattended. We walked right in, and over to Coon's Corner.

It was like a HR derby that day. Jones hit 3 and Walker hit 2. Aaron Boone and Geoff Jenkins were also on that USC team.

The comeback against CSF was in 1998. The supers at Zephyr against the Greenies and their lefties was in 2001. 2002 we were blanked at Rice in the supers twice.

Beating the Greenies in the "old" days.. rain delayed until the next day.. this was back when the rivalry was strong.. it was a blast sending them to back to NO..

But remembering the 'all stars' that came into the Box for the 6 team regionals is what I miss the most about these 4 teams ones.. we used to get some big time players on the field, sometimes several in the same series.. heck, we couldn't get Jacques out with a gun that weekend..

No doubt when we struck out Brett Boone with Southern Cal to win and go to Omaha. Boone batted .500 for the tourney w/4 HR and 6 doubles or so
