Glad to see the starting pitching start to come around. This little hot streak combined with some yankee losses has them right back in the mix. shite! When was the last time the sox swept the rays?

Lackey can bit me. The only start of the year where I have him on my bench, and he has his best outing.

That sucks. Can't say I blame you for benching him. He's been a little of a disappointment so far this year. I started Garza if it makes you feel any better.

Lester really didn't pitch a very good game last night. He had 5 walks, I believe, and that was with a shite ton of help from blue behind the plate.

Good game for the sox tonight, though. Lackey actually looked strong (though the Rays' bats have been weak of late), they beat the shite out of the Rays' pitching.

That's the first time I can remember that the Sox got to Garza.

Garza just didn't have strong command tonight.

Beltre was on fricking fire. Dude blasted one of those fricked up HRs, where he ended up with his back knee on the ground.

I didn't watch the game, but one of those on sportscenter that they freaked out about was a strike, the other was a ball. Hell, after that Toronto game, its sports karma

Its a long season my man. Now that our pitching is coming around, and Theo getting cute with two really old pitchers hopefully won't hurt us until two years from now, I think we continue this run for a while.

That is the key, our offense can hang with anyone, IMO.

I was 100 percent for picking Beckett back up for like two or three years, not five. That contract we gave Lackey was insane. Literally, three years down the road we're looking at a

1. Lester
2. Buchholz
3. Kelly
4. Lackey (or prospect)
5. Beckett (or prospect)

Except the last two are getting paid insane coin for terrible production, and thats assuming they aren't bought out and we're paying them to be on another team/out of the league.

Its not like we could move those two to the bullpen either, Beckett would start a riot, and Lackey is just being paid too much.

Yeah those contracts look like rather short sighted, but I am a big fan Beckett and think if he can stay healthy will be valuable. However, the openings in the field should create opportunities for a big bat or two.

I agree with this. While I don't think Beckett is out of gas yet, I think Lester is the ace of this staff.

Only situation I'm not completely comfortable with is SS. Scutaro makes me cringe at least once every game it seems.
