It is a good hotel and what I find to be a good price. The kids will like the pool.

pretty nice, balcony rooms with a view of the pool with courtyard, decent bar / restaurant inside the hotel that has really good typical breakfast food buffet.

We got a free drink coupon when we checked in but the bartender was sick so she shut down the bar

Wasnt a bad thing considering we were in the FQ

I'm also looking for a hotel in the FQ. Specifically, I'm looking for something other than the Ritz or Windsor Court. Does anyone know of any cool older FQ hotels that have some character?

What about the hotel attached to Stella!...Provincial.

There is also a really nice one I noticed on the block of Chartres by the Napoleon House.

Look at the link below for le richelieu hotel. I know alot of locals who swear by it due to the free parking, cozy little bar in the courtyard, and the fact that it is on the lower end of the quarter so it is a little quieter.
