I'm assuming Austin Ross tonight and AR tomorrow. Anything official yet?

Because Ranaudo came out of the bullpen, junior Austin Ross will get the start when the teams meet at 7 p.m. today. State did not announce a starting pitcher Thursday night.

If game is close at end, would not be surprised to see Ranaudo at end again, then Matulis could start Sat.

Ranaudo in closer role might be LSU best option for regional as well. Let him throw segments at a time instead of trying to get back to being dominant for 7 or 8 innings in one outing.

I'm starting to believe that may be the best option for LSU & Ranaudo to have success. Let's not try to fool anyone, Ranaudo has not been anywhere near his normal form since returning to the rotation. Is it still a nagging injury or is it simple mechanics from being inactive for so long? Who knows but he has that Friday night started mentality-not that different from a closer-& he seems to be able to keep himself in check for an inning or two before the wheels come off. He's a leader & it is apparent that Ott is not the Matty Ice we saw last year, maybe a shake up will allow him to get in there with a purpose & fire away for an inning or two, stop the bleeding & maybe secure the win like last night. At this point, I say do whatever it takes to win, it is all on the line & I don't think any of these players care the who, what, when, or where the W comes from as long as it comes.

Another thing to think about is this, maybe Ott coming in for middle relief might help him gain some confidence. You know, let him come in when the game isnt on the line and just get in and get some outs. I mean hell, at this point, it cant be any worse.

David Grewe was just on the radio and said they will be paying close attention to the Kentucky & Bama/Tennessee scores tonight... If we are winning and either Kentucky or Bama are losing, they might use Ranaudo to close.

We've had a lot of rain up here today and another line coming through in the next hour. That KY/GA game might not start on time but hopefully when it does GA will take it to KY once again.

Pretty sad that we are even in this situation to have to do this type of thing to MAKE THE SEC TOURNAMENT...
