LOST "What They Died For" S6.E16 (Multi-centric)

"While The Man In Black devises a new strategy, Jack's group searches for Desmond."
This episode has gotten good reviews and said to be the best pre-finale episode since Greatest Hits, so there probably won't be a meltdown like last week.
Also I think this is probably my personal favorite title for an episode in LOST's history.

It will spoil this episode.
It didn't spoil the finale for me. But I can't tell you NO and then you get pissed at me. So I say that I was fine with it. That may not be the case for you.

I don't complain about LOST the way some people do, but I was totally underwhelmed after last week. I'm hoping the final Tuesday night episode will be better than last week's.

for the first time, I'm going to refrain from the spoilers
although I know a few things from reading prior entries at DarkUFO after last week's disappointment (that had nothing to do with spoilers) I'm decided to change yet again, and let it ride.
I'm still a bit peeved about last week though.....

I was too but, like Lacour, I read the details on this week's ep and I was in a better mood after that. Really looking forward to Tuesday.
This week definitely redeems the season a bit but episodes like this weeks make you wonder, even more, about why the rest of the season was so slow.

I have a feeling that the Light is not going to be explained. I just hope they explain how Jacob and MIB's mother was able to kill an entire village.

I think it is more likely the light will be explained then how the mother killed everyone in the village. Something tells me the wheel or the source will be seen once again in the final episode.

I'm sure the wheel and light will be shown again. I just doubt there will be in more "light" shed on an explanation.

Likewise, but considering "Across the Sea" was probably one of the worst episodes of the season if not the entire series, I would say there's no place to go but up this week. I would like to think that the motives of Jacob and MIB will be reinforced and the technology associated with the light and the donkey wheel will be made more credible (other than smart people) but honestly I am not expecting it.

I think a lot of fans now assume that Mother had gone into the light cave and had become a smoke monster and that might be something the writers just leave to imagination. To me it is somewhat inconsistent when you consider the light went out in the light cave after MIB was tossed in by Jacob and came out as Smokey. The light going out gave me the distinct impression that the light was containing darkness up to that point and that the darkness was released in the form of MIB/Smokey. The obvious question is if Mother entered the cave and became a smoke monster how was it that the light was apparently still containing/controlling the darkness (it was glowing brightly) before MIB floated downstream into the cave? This makes me wonder if Mother was not a smoke monster and used powers not inherent in smokey to destroy the village.

So we have this episode Tuesday, the 2 hour recap Sunday at 7 and then the 2.5 hours of the finale? I'm going to be on Lost overload on Monday morning.
