He physically looks like an upperclassman in college now. Very big and strong looking..
He had a nice drop step and used it for nice jump hook, a couple 1 hand slams. He also had a monster two hand slam off a feed from a steel (and subsequent T for hanging on the rim) while I was there (we left after 3 quarters due to one year old flipping out). He tried a couple 15 footers and was not close so not sure about his intermediate game based on what we saw.
He was not dominant at all on the boards or in the paint defensively. was a little surprised but Springfields little guards attacked the paint over and over and i only remember a blocked shot or 2.
In my opinion, he needs to grow to a 7 footer to be dominant in college with his current game. He is impressive physically but nothing like I had hoped to see when we made the drive over
He is physically very imposing and it is amazing that he is the size he is as a 9th grader.
Hope to see him continue and grow and develop as he was very fiery and would keep the crowd and his teammates juiced up in a bigtime college arena

Heard that if you asked him right now, he's going to LSU. Trent Johnson is there every week.

Was not his best game at all. He did a good job by not lossing his cool and KO'ing number 12 who seem to have 15 fools, he threw a lot of elbows.
I think the game plan was to rattle Gathers. But in the 4th he came alive.Reminded me of when Shack was at LSU and would get assaulted and no foul called.

I went to the game too...
He is a freak of nature
Rico vs. Garrett Green right now 1 on 1..Rico wins 10 times out of 10

He is a soph.
The scouting report on him has consistently been: physical freak that needs to work on basketball skills.
Luckily, he's got plenty of time.
And I have heard he is LSU's to lose.

Reminds me of Marcus Spears!
I say........recruit this guy for FB and Basketball, we all KNOW he'll end up on the FB ledger.
WOW! That dude is a serious physical specimen.

he didnt play football last year because reserve christian was class C...now at riverside, he could play if he wanted too, but I've heard he wasn't intending to as of now

He's not interested in FB. WE all ask him to play.
And really the kid from Springfield plays like a BULLDOZER.

and he has a soft touch, and if you'll notice when he shoots, he gets a lot of backspin on his shot which is a good sign.
I think he's more 6'7'' than 6'6''

Must have had a bad game. Saw him earlier in the year and he was the best High Schooler I had ever seen in person. That night he was 4 of 5 from 3-point range and owned the paint.

The kid had a good game. In the 2nd half he dominated the middle and was relentless rebounding. You have to love his competitive drive and aggressive attitude.
LSU was indeed in the house watching him along with a few other college coaches.
