Baseball gurus,

Why did we completely dismantled Centenary one game and play them pretty close in the others? I can guess at some reasons, but I'm intersted what really happened.

Well the first game its called dropping fly balls and crap. Then its just which way the lucky breaks go and what you hit into that you really cant help.

Yeah like someone said that's baseball. If I remember correctly, we had similar series' like that last year against Illinois and Tennessee.

Why did Texas lose 2 of 3 against New Mexico this weeken? It's early in the season and baseball is a funny sport.

This.

Even the worst pitching can get lucky if another team's bats just happen to go cold or hit the ball straight into your gloves, and even against the best pitching, odd things sometimes happens and a few runs can sometimes be manufactured with a little luck. And then there are those days on defense when the wheels just seem to come off, since competent fielding in baseball is a lot more difficult than it looks.

every single baseball game is different....different pitchers which cause a difference in the bats...and so on. my dad was a semi-pro baseball player....and i can remember him telling me how different each and every game was when i was younger. holds true to form.

think about it....i can remember many times when LSU would beat a team in a weekensd series by 10 - 15 runs....and i would think to myself.....man, i wish we wouldve saved some of those runs for tomorrow.....lol....and sure enough LSU would barely squeeze out a win, or even lose the next game to the same team....

baseball is not a "same shite, different day" sport. its more like "different shite, different day"

nice sweep by the Tigers this weekend. CPM will be experimenting until SEC play starts....but winning the way LSU did this weekend even while expermenting is impressive...i dont care who the opponent is. This could be the mark of another very special LSU baseball team!

let's hope so! i am so glad that LSU baseball season is here! i love it!

In game 2 they made 2 or 3 errors in the first inning and fell behind 7. They basically conceded defeat at that point and saved their best relievers for Sunday

Thanks. Another question, is Centenary typically any good?

Depends they looked pretty good this weekend. If they can cut down on the errors they have alot of potential

ill just say what others have said

its the game of baseball, ball goes right to other players in crutial situations, so on a so forth. But hey we won, this team shows we can win even with we are struggling, by the way starters look strong I know its centenary but we look strong

Relax, dude. I didn't get to see any of the games, and I was just curious about the scores. No one is criticizing coach M.
