I'm so proud of him. Not only has he been playing well, he could be the reason England's WC squad implodes, along with destroying them on the pitch. As Cashley Cole is a cunt.

Chelsea's back 4 is the most despicable tools in football on the basis of Cole and Terry alone.

Baines is the best left back not named Ashley Cole anyway

baines would be my regular LB if i was england manager, which im apparently not. the thing about ashley cole is that england's woes on the left side of midfield during the early part of this decade/sven's god awful diamond midfield meant he was given free reign down the left flank to provide width but just got caught up joining the attack too much.

Mmm...not even being a Chelsea homer, cause I really like Zhirkov anyway, but Ashley Cole is one of the best LBs in the world. He has learned when he needs to stay back (see Chelsea v Arsenal)

he's certainly improved in that regard

also, when you played at arsenal during the peak of the henry/bergkamp/pires/vieira heyday its easy to want to go forward

Hopefully Bridge gets the call up and "accidentally" plays a ball off of Terry and they score an own goal late in the USA match and we win. Bridge gets back at Terry and we get all three points.

I can dream.
