Has anyone on here ever been to the NFL Draft in New York City? My friends and I made a pact that, if the Saints ever won the Super Bowl, we'd go to the draft the following year. I heard a rumor that there are no tickets...just first come, first serve.

If anyone has been there and cares to share their wisdom on the event, I'd really appreciate it.

If you go, punch every Jet fan in the face.

If you go, you have to boo your pick, whether you like it or not. Seems like that's what everyone else there does.

Its a good time to be in NYC. Usually the cold is letting up and its baseball season! Go catch a ball game while you are there

we went a few years ago. Got there around 11pm the night before and a big line had already formed outside. I would say I was about 300 or so people from the front and we got bracelets with ease a little after 6am when they handed them out. Then we went and slept for a while because doors didn't open until 10am (I think).

If I were to do it again, I'd have blankets, food, drinks, etc for the overnight wait. We had none of these things, but we were still entertained by the people around us. Everybody there is a huge NFL fan so it's pretty fun. There were fans there of literally every team in the league

Since the first round is Thursday night this year, the dynamic of waiting in line really changes...can't help you there. Definitely a memorable experience though. And free

yes, i have been twice.

it's free, but be prepared to get in line by 7 or 8 am. It's a long day, but fun to do once or twice.

the biggest fan presences were:

1. cowboys
2. eagles
3. jets
4. giants
5. steelers/dolphins

I went the year that the Jets traded Keyshawn.
It was alot of fun. NO women at all (so dont get your hopes up). Lots of beer, free and everyone dresses up. Wear your Saints jersey. That year we got radios to listen to ESPN's broadcast. Free also.

I got in line at around 8am and got in no problem. But not sure about this year.

Oh and I sat right behind the Redskin "Hogs" fans. The old guys we always see on tv.

Good stuff.

That's an odd pact.

Although, hearing the words, "With the 32nd pick, the New Orleans Saints select ______" will be damn cool.

Why? Do you think Donovan McNabb is going to be drafted again?

I'm going to the draft also this year.
From what i know the day before the draft you show up and get tickets. It's first come first served.
