My wife and I are signed up for his 13 week course starting next week. Has anyone on the board ever taken it? How was it?

A lot of people benefit from Dave Ramsey but honestly it is just common sense. I have never taken the course but have read his books and other articles. If you do what he says you can't go wrong. Good luck.

Good luck.

He's helped a lot of people.

I know there are posters here that have been through it, but I'm not sure how often they read this board.

You should have took that $100 and put it toward debt.

I've watched the first six videos...haven't seen the rest. I do listen to the radio show quite a bit and if you follow his advice you'll never be in debt.

Where are you taking it at? I see your from Haughton...you taking it in the Bossier area?

If you are having financial problems I recommend it. If you're not having financial problems I don't see the point.

Yeah. I'm taking it at the Airline Drive Church of Christ. I'm actually excited about it.. I've read some online reviews and they all seem positive.

Never taken but I heard it goes like this: spend less and prioritize your life.

I haven't taken the course because I have been pretty good managing my personal finances.

But I have heard it works, with a lot of hard work & sacrifice on your part.

Personal finance is a subject that is sorely lacking in our society. I wish PF would be a requirement at the high school and especially the college level.

I found a 2 disc CD of Ramsey at a local thrift store for 75 cents, I think you got ripped off if you paid over that amount.

Cheesy and common sense financial advice mixed with Sunday school teaching.

I love the silly "true Stories".

(I was $100,000 in debt so I took Dave's advice and got a second job, saved money, had a garage sale and now I'm debt-free in less than a year).

If it's that easy why is there a 13 week course.
