Anyone know why Payton and Eli didn't play for LSU?

Because their dad is an alum of Ole Miss and they hate LSU. Payton would have went to Ole Miss also if his older brother wouldn't have had to quit playing football.

It goes without saying, that the man in the middle, would've died on the inside, if those boys chose LSU..besides you can bet that they were poisoned against LSU in infancy.

LSU flat sucked when Peyton was being recruited and Eli wasn't that good (weak arm). We had J Booty,R. Davey, Craig Nall none of whom turned out to be as good as Eli.

doubt it, OM was in trouble with the NCAA at the time, but who knows what would have happened if Cooper was still playing at OM. I'm pretty sure OM hired Cutcliff in part to get Eli.

he wasn't as good as Peyton, but was still a top prospect. Still not every one in NOLA is an LSU fan, I don't know why people can't accept this and move on.

WRONG!

Archie Manning became Mississippi's favorite son because of what might have been. In his senior season of 1970, with Ole Miss 6-1 and the Heisman Trophy his for the taking, Manning suffered a broken arm in a victory over Houston.
