Do you guys think he has any misdirection plays in his(Crowton) playbook. run or pass

Everything seems so predictable no counters, he almost never does play action passing out the spread. That handoff out of the spread never works, yet they run it about 60% of the time and never play action out of it. He also never runs the two back option, fake the dive and misdirection option. Also why doesn't he have a spread option package for Shep, thats all he ran in high school (look at his highlight video it's a thing of beauty when he breaks one for a long gain), JJ is horrible running it,if mu run that thing with Shep at QB, Holliday and Ridley it would give defenses fits. Why don't the receivers run double moves on agressive db's?
Man it's all so frustrating. We have too much talent on offense to be so predictable. Anybody got a answer for his foolishness? If so help me understand

You hit the nail on the head.

Apparently, he keeps thinking that if only he does enough complicated group substitutions and shifts before the snap, somehow that will make up for his idiotically simple plays that occur after the snap.

This. Figured out by the opposing DC by the end of the first quarter.

If there has been one misdirection all season, I missed it.

the very few misdirection plays that were run this year were very successful. what did he do? quit running them. it's damn frustrating to me. he's like the teacher that never changes his material and gives the same tests every year. it doesn't take long for those tests to be "on the market".

You hit the nail on the head. Also, I think

1. The complicated sets confuse the offensive players.
2. He doesn't stay with what is working until the defense stops it. We waste plays and series on offense because of this. His play calling gets "cute/fancy" (sorry, can't think of a better term), and he kills as many drives as the opponents defense. I don't know if the substitution decisions are Miles' or Crowton's, but it would be interesting to know who is responsible for pulling players when they are having success.
3. He seems determined to run plays that he wants regardless of personnel. THe option with JJ has been discussed repeatedly, but I'm pretty sure he ran it with Lee-that's ridiculous, especially because of the risk of Lee getting injured when we have no backup.

I have had several Bama fans come to me asking what in the world was our OC doing. That hurts alot worse when other fans notice your talent more than your own offensive coach.

Yeah, that would s*ck. It seems a lot of people have noticed the misuse of talent and the predictability of the offense. Early in the season, an offensive lineman was quoted in the paper as saying the defense seemed to know where the plays were going. I don't remember the game, but I think his statement says a lot.

I feel ya pain man. i live in birmingham and i have to constantly defend the rediculousness of Crowton's playcalling. it's even worse here in Alabama because as we know no one is a better coach than ole' "st. nick".

i wanna go back home

Yea man...like down here in Mobile we have a strong LSU fan base, but they are all hiding now. I actually wore my stuff after we lost to Bama, but when we lost to Ole Miss I was real tempted to put it all away till next season

As the season went on, I had to turn the TV off whenever we had a drive going and he wasted a play, just to keep from cursing in front of my kids. There was one drive in particular, against BAMA, where his play calling felt like slow offensive suicide.

I mean into the fourth quarter I could not believe that we were in the lead. Then JJ and Chuck went down, and so began Crowton's collapse in that game

man the florida game killed me. i kept sayin he's setting them up for something big.
Never happened,i learned my lesson though

I had to beat Florida on NCAA 2010 just to feel a little better. Oh and I used Florida's playbook. I laugh so not to cry
