People have posted speculation and opinion left and right, but what about when you see the stats side by side?

Toby vs Ingram? I'm guessing Toby is the one with all the check marks? Don't forget he has the most heart too.

I think looking at that chart, it clearly needs to be Toby vs. McCoy, and I would give it to Toby after that horrendous performance by McCoy against Nebraska

i like how ypc and backup viability aren't taken into account

A very capable leader with a want to gain yardage.

Ingram: 6.2 YPC, Backup: Trent Richardson: 642 yards
Gerhart: 5.6 YPC, Backup: Stepfan Taylor: 298 yards

Ingram barely gets the win with YPC, but Gerhart gets the backup as it's all on his shoulders. Plus take into account that Bama has a better o-line

your spinning and twisting of the stats is well done

should probably include Toby's 581 passer rating while your at it

usc6158- I'm the world's biggest SEC homer and world biggest PAC-10 hater at the same time. Why would I twist the data in favor of a result I despise?

I just want this award to be fair again, and for it to stop going to the best-known-player on a team playing in the championship.

Tell me one data point, outside YPC which I forgot, that demonstrates Ingram is better?

To be fair, Toby get a ton of goal line carries, while Richardson poaches some from Ingram, which skews the TD stats and the YPC stats

barely???

lol

of course posting their total carries would prove the same point.

Gerhart had nearly 100 more carries than Ingram

Not to mention Bama's few cupcakes they play early on in blowouts when Ingram didnt play the full game. Under 100 yards. Also skews the "average of rushing defense" by opponents.
