Next week I'm driving over for a week-long gig in the area around Augusta, but I'm thinking about pushing on for another hour to stay in Columbia -- looks like better/more food options & a nicer downtown. Thoughts?

Restaurant suggestions for either town would be welcome.

Just went to Columbia driving through. The downtown has made huge strides.

We had lunch at motor supply co. I had very very good homemade pasta and wild mushroom dish. Gfs duck dish was great too. I really suggest this place.
