CFN team rankings

Could the Nittany Lions get a shot at LSU in the Capital One? They’re not just good enough to win; they’re good enough to win easily.

The Tigers simply aren’t that great. The offense continues to have problems finding any consistent production, while the offensive line is having real problems. It doesn’t want to face Penn State’s defensive front.

This is a far-cry from what little I've read on this board about the match-up since the Arkansas game.

ive been one of LSU's biggest critics, but Penn State has beaten no one. Their schedule is a joke. LSU will skull frick the shite out of them

I wouldn't go that far. LSU's offense really hasn't skull fricked weaker opponents.

Given the time to prepare, I think the offense plays well. Coaches will have time to install more plays for Shepard and I think having a few weeks to give the players(and coaches) a mental break will do wonders. We have the talent, when prepared, to skull frick about 95% of college football teams

the only quirky thing that worries me is the last time we won a bowl game outdoors. Indy bowl

PSU's offense is will not be lighting up LSU's defense either. Our speed on offense helps us take out the Lions.

I would enjoy adding Penn State to the list of teams LSU has destroyed in bowl games.

I am not afraid of Penn State's defense. I even think Big Ten defense overrall is a bit overrated. I am a bit worried about Clark. They have a very experienced and good QB and LSU has trouble against mobile QB's. I think the game will be determined by how LSU's defense handles this.

Quite irrelevant - If there is one thing (other than recruiting) that Miles is really great at - it is game preparation after a break (especially month long ones for bowls).

I think the only coach on anyone's list (for a sure win) for the bowls is Miles. The guy is money in the bank.

I never said Penn State is a scary team. I just don't think they should be underestimated. And I can't expect to light them up if we can't light up Washington or LaTech. Penn State is a tad bit better than teams such as Tulane and ULL ya know.

Shepard got here in January. They had 9 months to install something for him and they didn't.

LSU hasn't skull-dragged anyone this year, don;t see how they suddenly go SFing now.

Apparently they aren't aware of Miles bowl record at LSU.
