Quite irrelevant - If there is one thing (other than recruiting) that Miles is really great at - it is game preparation after a break (especially month long ones for bowls).

I couldn't disagree more. The team with the better run game gets a huge advantage if it pours. I am not using this to prove a point; I am just asking for an opinion on who has the advantage if the game has to be fought on the ground. It does rain in Florida.

LSU hasn't skull-dragged anyone this year, don;t see how they suddenly go SFing now.

Yea, Tulane and ULL and for that matter Auburn were really in the game this year.

I think PSU/LSU is a great non-BCS matchup and would love to see it.

LSU will play it's best game of the year in the bowl game......book it

Plus our D will heal......and the speed will overwhelm Penn State.

the only quirky thing that worries me is the last time we won a bowl game outdoors. Indy bowl

Good point since we NEVER play any games outdoors.

Coaches will have time to install more plays for Shepard

The coaches have already had 11 months to install plays for Shepard. One more month isn't going to make any difference.

I actually think it will. Bowl preparation =/= season preparation

What are they gonna write? That LSU destroys everyone in bowl games since Miles came on? That doesn't really pump up the game much.

LSU by 17.

would love this matchup.

Joe Pa is so-o-o-o- conservative. that's exactly the type of team we need to play.

Comparing Penn State to Tulane and ULL is like comparing a Cadillac to a VW bug. Auburn is actually a decent example but they have a new coaching staff/offense and LSU probably played their best game of the year that day.

I would enjoy adding Penn State to the list of teams LSU has destroyed in bowl games.

Great quote by Les yesterday. He appears pretty confident if we get the Nittany Lions in the bowl.

So was Lloyd Carr and look at what happened against a more favored Florida.

I dont see us blowing anyone out in a bowl game.... PSU while not super is everybit as good as ole miss uga etc.... I think the extra time gives us a chance to be more sound, but still gonna be a close game, tough game. And before you spit out the "Have you seen us in a bowl game?" I went to both Chicken bowls and Notre Dame sugar bowl...... left there loving Les, but not so much before or now.
