These statements contradict each other. Getting that big gate is better than playing a team from North La. and having less than 1/2 the crowd.

Friday night Haughton beats Parkway to win the division, but Parkway gets an 8 seed and Haughton gets an 11????

Obviously Haughton played an easier OOD schedule.

I am looking forward to an Acadiana vs WM matchup in the semifinals. Will they play it at ULL again if Acadiana hosts?

You have a point there. However, you could have the best of both worlds and get to play a team from another part of the state that brings a decent crowd.

Acadiana will have to beat Shaw and Dutchtown. i don't know anything about terrebonne, but seeing they are a 30 seed we should have them. If you go with common logic Acadiana lost to Parkview, who lost to dutchtown so I don't know if Acadiana makes the semi's this year. I think Acadiana has what it takes to make it there but you never know.

Thats a big if right now. I enjoy going up there because the stadium is top notch and unfortunately Acadiana's stadium couldn't hold the people for a game of that magnitude. Plus it would depend on if ULL had a game that saturday or not. If not, then more than likely it will be at ULL.

Considering the Tarpons didn't give up a single 1st down in the second half of that game I can say with some certainty that the Tarps will make it to the second round.

Geaux Tarpons!!!

What i want to know is how does an 8-2 team end up with a better power ranking than an undefeated team? Was Central's opponents that bad?

If OC wins in the first round, Curtis will have to travel to Opelousas. The last time they played in Opelousas they lost.

St. Paul's got f'ed. Beat #4 and #12 and they get a 7 seed, and West Monroe in the quarters.
LHSAA can blow me.

Thats because they were playing Opelousas High not Opelousas Catholic. OC is not a bad ball team but Curtis should roll to the finals without any bumps in the road. Evangel, St. Charles, Capitol might be the only teams who can keep it within 20.

Lafayette teams seem to be getting alot of respect. Not sure if that is earned or not? Comeaux might be the only team to make the 5A playoffs without a winning record.

And Central lost it's only tough OOD game vs St. Paul.
