So say a team from baton rouge is matched up with a team say from shreveport ....they have to travel up there if they are the lower seed?

Their half of the bracket looks pretty favorable. Of course being the #2 seed has a lot to do with that.

Yeah they have had a great year, Only loss to a very good Dutchtown team. Would be exciting to be in N.O. in mid Decmeber.

That is strange indeed. There should be a rule that no one can play a district opponent in the first round. Teams play all season to have a chance to match up with another team from outside their area and prove themselves.
No matter who wins on the field, SL will be a big winner at the gate and concessions. I'm sure CL made a killing on Friday and this Friday will be the same. The attendance was probably over 7,000. People were standing outside the bleachers.
If the weather is nice there could be close to 10K on Friday. It will be like crowds in the 70s with coaches Pere vs. Gros or the 80s with Hodson.
