Why would a big time recruit want to come to LSU and sit on the bench? While other TRUE freshman at other schools get significant playing time, some even are starters? You cannot tell me with last years either 1 or 2 recruiting class they should not see the field more. Miles better start using his top recruiting classes better or he will lose big recruits in the future.

Because some schools have much bigger holes to fill than LSU. When these heralded freshmen become juniors, should our new freshmen replace them? Go straight to the corner and get your pointy hat.

Eddie Lacy - Freshman All-American! That run against South Carolina..wow just wow. And Darrington Sentimore....what more can really be said about the Freshman sensation?

And how can anyone forget the charisma of Dre Kirkpatrick? Rivals #1 Cornerback of this year? His 5 tackles are some of the best ever seen in the SEC. Maybe already be better than Rivals #1 CB last year, Patrick Peterson already. It's the Saban genius - that Fire, that Swagga..

Since you've done so much research on the subject Matt Foley, please post the number of freshmen that have played for the Top 25, including LSU so we can see where we stack up in this category.

if you are having to play true freshman - then your previous three recruiting classes must not have been very good

I like how Bama and Fl play their folks, regardless of class status, who ever has the most talent is going to be starting. We can compare talent position for position to Fl and Bama but we dont get the same results. I dont know if this is the Coachs fault or the players just not getting the system.

Busts? I'm not seeing any. Saban's eye for talent is impeccable. Starting at QB, with Lester Ricard an LSU great, and who can forget Blair Irvin & Junior Joseph? Tory Collins & Willie Demps - possibly 2 of the best to ever play at LSU.

"Why would a big time recruit want to come to LSU and sit on the bench?"

So they can be in the presence of Patrick Peterson.
