I really can't see Jefferson throwing three picks. Everything else was pretty close to spot on.

The lines have been mediocre to awful, the offense has been sputtering, and the defense isn’t anywhere near as good as the national title level LSU teams

This is what's so scary....and accurate.
I hope Miles can pull another rabbit out his arse.

He could easily throw 3 picks. What are you talking about?

Oh yeah, what was CFN's prediction for the UGA game?

They are a bunch of fricktards.

It's not accurate. It's complete hyperbole. Especially the clause about the defense. During the first half of the UGA game, the 2009 LSU defense played as well (if not better) than the 2007 squad.

I'm really not. I was at the game. The defense played a virtually flawless first half.

Les Miles even acknowledged during his press conference that the first half of the UGA game may be the best defensive performance he has witnessed at LSU:

"Well, the last game we played, against Georgia, I felt like our defense probably played as strong a half of defensive football as I've been around. That's flying to the ball, making tackles, tackling crisply, guys going down fast, covering the pass, sticking on the run ... I think ... there's a culture of great defense here, and our players understand it and understand what it takes, and they want it. They want to be a great defense, and so they're playing better."

The defense was outstanding in the first half against GA. The O was too- they just couldnt finish drives.

But GA is not a top-tier team.

5 games in, at home, with the game no longer a must-win (ie we still control our destiny in the West with a loss), Miles will pull out all the stops.

That could make it a right-down-to-the-wire game, or it could blow up in our faces.

But I think if we play at the level we have up to now, we lose by at least 14.

Let me get this straight....LSU has played 5 games. The defense was dominant in one half. That means they have been non-dominant (at times terrible) in the remaining 9 halves. The defense was just as bad in the 2nd half as they were great in the 1st half.

And the fact that you're backing your opinion with a Miles Statement is, well, not very credible.

B/c they picked UGA to win they are "fricktards?"
Well over 3/4 of "experts" picked UGA to win, including Vegas. Are they all "fricktards" b/c they thought LSU was going to lose?

CFN has very sound logic & game analysis, regardless of who you root for. If you disagree, try to be more specific and give sound reasoning. The blanket statement is idiotic.

I don't diasagree with the analysis necessarily, but CFN, in their poll has LSU ranked 11th even after the Georgia game.

I totally disagree with that shite.

The defense is improving under Chavis greatly and is the strenght of the team---- I disagree that we are no where as strong as BCS years. The Red Zone Offense is our biggest worry.

I agree. I don't think this analyst watched the entire LSU/Georgia match up. If you only watched the second half especially

Strength of the team is a relative term. What area of this team is really, really strong?

Does 5 sacks in 5 games not concern anyone? In the 2nd half, the D was picked apart by Joe Cox (yes Joe Cox). The front 4 are quite below average, much less dominant....very concerning.

Also, teams not named ULL converted 43% of 3rd downs against LSU. I don't think anyone would argue that the 2nd half of the schedule is much more difficult than the 1st....very concerning.

Doesn't mean we can't still squeak by, but there are only so many rabbits in Miles' hat.
