I'm glad I couldn't acquire him in a trade, I'll say that.

not backing up an inconsistent qb properly is derailing your season, not romo

i have flacco and shaun hill as backups. really injuries have killed me. Tomlinson, Gore, and Bowe have all missed time.

I have Romo, Flacco, Gore, and Bowe also. I played Flacco and put Steve Smith in over Bowe and I had a great day.

thats kinda my point

hill was probably an undrafted F/A, you drafted Romo where 5th? 6th? drafted flacco in the 12th? 13? (assuming 12 team league)

you can'tback up a midround inconsistent qb with a late rounder like flacco

you back brees, manning or brady up with guys like flacco

you back guys like romo up with guys like carson palmer, matt ryan maybe even cutler if you get a little lucky

ETA- not trying to rail you man, sorry it seems that way

just start thinking what you could have done differently and it will help you last year instead of just saying it was bad luck and out of your control

You cant back up everything. I backed up Gore and Tomlinson with Grant and Sproles (who I've needed). I traded for Andre Johnson and have him and Calvin Johnson so the Bowe injury didn't hurt. You can't be strong everywhere.

agreed

but you should without question backup inconsistent qb's...use back to back rounds to take your qb's if you don't get one in the first 2 rounds

after you backup your qb properly, then get out and handcuff your rb#1 or rb#2, depending on what handcuff is more valuable

i will be now. its easy to act like thats a simple decision in hindsight, but i didnt draft romo to ride the bench. He gave me one good week, one mediocre week, and two garbage weeks. shite, i shouldve picked up sims-walker two weeks ago and started him in place of andre or calvin johnson. i dont have a crystal ball though.

after week 2 Flacco was an easy decision. Baltimore showed an new more open offense and Flacco showed he could handle it in a big way. After Romo's week 2 and 3 performances, there should have been no question that Flacco should have been your guy.

So the decision obviously fricked me for this week, but I think its hindsight to say that its an easy call. For our scoring system, Romo won week one, they tied in week two (when Romo played poorly but got 15 fantasy points in the league im in), and Flacco won week three. Romo was outscoring him 62-60 on the year. I mean this isn't exactly Jones-Drew versus Ahmad Bradshaw. I have no idea why I'm still arguing this. I hate Romo and feel bad for defending him.
