Russell Shepard reminds me of Pat White of WVU and Dennis Dixon of Oregon (former players). Every time those two guys took a snap, defenders and opposing coaches held their collective breaths. Nobody every really stopped them, just slowed them down a bit.

Fortunately for LSU (unlike WVU and Oregon), we have tons of top talent on our team to support and complement RS. If we could dial up the RS factor on top of what we have...the sky is the friggin' limit for the 2009 Tigers.

Even the defense would improve, IMHO. Add the RS factor and watch the swagga come to the whole Tiger nation!

Itd be cool if they'd put him in the backfield and did a direct snap with JJ in as QB. Many possibilities with him in as a running back...

I wanted him to redshirt until I saw him play. He is Pat White-esque.

Even though he's talented, I can't argue with easing him in to the offense.

He should get his touches this week. The kid is outstanding - like White and Dixon.
