I listen to a podcast dealing with Lost. The people who do it live in Hawaii and get to visit the sets while they are filming. They revealed some major spoilers about what will happen in the first episode this season. Filming was taking place at the airport and they were filming Oceanic flight 815 landing at LAX. Jack argues with a woman at the airport about a problem with his dad's casket and that his dad's funeral is going to begin in 2 hours. Boone is on the plane. Charlie gets into an argument with a stewardess and leaves the plane in restraints. Hugo is recognized as the guy from the Chicken Shack commercials. Kate exits the plane handcuffed to the marshall, then escapes and leaves in a cab. Locke is lifted into his wheelchair so he can leave the plane. Claire leaves the plane and somehow ends up in the taxi with Kate. Later, Claire and Kate pull up to a house in the cab. It is the home of the people who are to adopt Claire's baby. The wife opens the door and breaks down, telling Claire that her husband has decided they cannot adopt a child right now. Claire gets very upset and joins Kate back in the taxi. Claire then begins to go into labor and Kate screams that they have to find a doctor.

That's about all they had but I thought it was pretty major information about the direction Lost is going this year. They also mentioned that there were reports of shooting in the jungle and that Kate was involved in those scenes.

Thought you guys might be interested.

Probably one of the earlier episodes of next season. I hope the producers don't pull a "it's a dream" crap with us.

If any of that's true, they could be going the "alternate universe" route.

interesting. it wouldnt surprise me if that was just a "what if" time dream sequence. The producers have been pretty emphatic that the whole its a dream angle is false

the negative thing about taking this route would mean that it wouldn't make for an interesting/captivating season and i don't see the show going in that direction.

if these scenes are reported accurately, i could see them showing this as a 'what if' but probably would not continue on. perhaps it could be a misdirection..

I really hope they don't.

Suppose, the bomb went off, the plane never crashes, but, somehow, they all end on the island anyway. Your fate is your fate and you can't escape it.

The scenario reported was that Jack's plan worked and the plane did not crash. I think this is going to happen, but I'm also sure that they will end up back on the island. I forgot that the report also included a scene shot at the base of the statue in which Locke and Ben come out and Locke addresses the others and then proceeds to give Richard Alpert a beatdown. Seems like there may be a divergent timeline created by Jack's actions.

It would seem like a waste to develop the fake Locke storyline and not follow it to it's conclusion. That's why it's either a divergent storyline or having all the passengers land in LA is a "what if" scenario meant to frick with the audience.

I think that the Island may be like Narnia to where you enter the last reality you left but from a relative point in time. When they return to the Island this time, they will return to the Fake-Locke position in time.

Fake Locke convinced Ben to kill Jacob.

Here is a link to the podcast page if anyone is interested in listening for yourself. Right now they are doing a recap of season 3, so most of it will be about that. However, under the podcast they have listed the different segments of their show. The one you want is called "The Forward Cabin". The two episodes that have the spoilers I mentioned are the 9/20/2009 and 9/6/2009 episodes. I have listened to this show for a couple of years now, and they are very accurate in the location shooting info they give out.
