Cannot believe I haven't seen a post. People pay attention, the greatest basketball player EVER will be inducted into the Hall of Fame tonight. Respect the greatness. Changed everything for me when I was 13 yrs old and got my Nike Air Jordan III's the day he beat Dominique Wilkins in the 88 Slam Dunk Championships. I was hooked from then on. There will never be another like him.

Not really. God wouldn't take a 2 year hiatus from the game because of gambling debts which resulted in the death of his father. Hayoooo

Anywho, GOAT, # MUST be retired of leaguewide

and GHAZI,

Jordan taking the years off, made America embrace him more.. seeing his real life struggles (though not a violent criminal - which people wouldnt have smypathy for) but the gambling, father's death, struggles with baseball (and success).

and to come back and destroy fools.. for three more years

There are others like him in the way he plays the game. Kobe plays like him.

People grow up and idolize and learn their moves and playing style from watching the GOAT. Others will be like him. I doubt in the next 20 years or so we'll see someone revolutionize the game like he did. Doubt we'll see someone dominate the game from the guard position like he did

The passion he brought to the offensive and defensive side every night will be hard to match

That's a little too much IMO.

Though he would probably be the only person worthy of that acclaim for a LONGTIME

are yall watching his presser? I know hes the greatest, but it would be refreshing if he were a bit more humble. I mean he has a right to say it, but he's saying, "There will never be another michael jordan. You guys(the media) are always talking about finding the next michael jordan. First off, you didn't find me. I just happened." Granted I am paraphrasing, but youre referring to yourself in the 3rd person?

i doubt well ever see another MJ. he had such an impact on marketing, commercials, shoes etc. his impact outside of the basketball court will never be matched. to this day hes still making millions off his endorsements. i dont know if say kobe or lebron will still be marketing giants ten years after their playing days.( i dont count the wizards years, never happened )

While he could be a little more humble, that is true. ESPN is extremely quick to pull the "next Jordan" trigger.

Anyone else feel like stockton robinson etc are being seriously overshadowed by the jordan debacle? everyone in this class was great in their own right.
