Probably Germans I know.

That said. Um.....McCray starting at Safety?

IMV, this is not a positive sign. I'm not gonna go all sky is falling about it but in the last 2 years, if he hasn't been the worst cover guy I've seen in an LSU uniform, I'd like to know who is. I realize Safety isn't as cover demanding as CB but this dude flat was owned by TEs and slot guys the last couple of years. I sure hope him starting is a sign of his significant improvement and not a lack of choices.

Jesus not again. We've already been through this. I guess you also know more than the coaches about our SS position huh?

He'll do fine if he starts. You act like our secondary was good last year with the exception of McCray. Have you ever stopped to think that he has a new coach this year and maybe had the physical tools, but needed coaching? For all you know, he is much improved.

Did I say this? Nope. In fact, my post clearly indicates that perhaps he IS the best option at Safety. It merely reflects that based upon the last couple of years of performance that one of the following two is true.

1)He's improved A LOT!!

2)We are kinda weak at safety.

Did I say that? I merely said he was the worst of the bunch. Cmon. Is that even debateable?

Hence my comment about him perhaps having improved and that I hoped so.

You do realize that 1 & 2 are "or" statement, right?

I've got much confidence in Chavis. That said, I saw McCray look VERY helpless VERY often last year. Is anyone even denying this fact?

Of course, yes, as the other thread pointed out, he was worse at nickle than at safety.

One of the 'or' options was that we are possibly weak at safety. It's probably the deepest position on the team.

McCray is not as bad as everyone makes him out to be

Eveyrone seems to remember him getting beat by Percy Harvin, and I'm not the first person to say that McCray is not the first DB to get burnt by him.

If he gets in, he'll be playing his natural position,SS, not nickel, which is what he played in his past years here.

McCray=OK!

One other thing to consider...UF in 2007 had a horrible secondary...mostly Freshmen and Sophomores starting.

Last year UF's secondary...Huh...they were lights out!

I'll give McCray the benefit of the doubt even though him getting burned badly the last two years really angered me to no end!

I can laugh about it now, but not then!

But, I can promise ya'll this...if McCray hasn't learned how not to get burned (from his past mistakes), you can bet that Chavis and Ron Cooper will have his arse on the sidelines with Brooks, Taylor, or Hatcher on the field at Safety.

Good luck McCray...if not...good riddance!

What do the RANTard football brain-trust see that Miles' and his DC's don't see?

Every year, all the immature geeks on this site get in line to throw hate on McCray. You geeks are so insecure and want to be accepted by each other so bad that you can't wait to attack McCray as if it is some way of proving you are part of the Rantard fraternity.

Immature college geeks, don’t you love’m.

The usual chorus of I am a real RANTard, and I can prove it by hating on the particular player that all real RANTards hate on.

Um. How often do you see me on here bashing LSU players?

I'm looking forward to a good season. Merely addressing a concern that anyone being honest shares. I'm not saying he will DEFINITELY suck this year. I'm merely saying that I certainly hope his past performance is not going to be an indication of future results.

Seriously folks. Relax. I know there are people in here who never see anything right with LSU. I've never been one of those in here.

lets be honest here man

there is a long long list of plays mccray has been smoked on and its a lot more than just the play against harvin last year

as far as mccray being anything but a huge weakpoint in our defense? ill believe it when i see it
