I met this kid the other day. (Brad's brother). Only 16, kid is a beast. 6'5" and solid. I saw he's gonna be one of the best in his class. I asked him about LSU, and he made it seem like there was no chance he stays home. Not really sure why? His mom said something about not wanting to go where his brother went. He's all UNC. Hopefully in the next couple years TR can start to put a lock on in-state players.
Anyone know how good he's gonna be?

That enormous Brad Bridgewater legacy would intimidate just about anybody.

Last time I saw he was at Episcopal. Guess he's still there to continue school's tradition of having solid post players like David Gomez and J.L. Lewis.

I love how these young guys are "all UNC" or "all Duke" at 15. The odds of him rising to that level are slim to none. Those schools recruit the best of the best. From what I have seen and heard of Bridgewater, he will be an SEC level (minus Kentucky) recruit at best.
I recall that Brian Williams and Langston Galloway were going to leave Louisiana for the greener pastures of the Big East or ACC. Both left for lateral (at best) or lower offers than LSU, amid lukewarm interest from Trent Johnson.

This kid is the #1 rated player coming out right now for his year. He'll name his school.

Is he class of 2011 or 2012?
Edit -- I read somewhere that he is Class of 2013. Is he really 16 and still has 4 years of HS left?

I don't think he is 16 years old. I believe he is from the Class of 2013, so anyone who calls him the number one incoming freshman in the country is really speculating. I can't imagine reputable guys have enough time to not only follow juniors and seniors, but also 8th graders at Episcopal.

I often think about how Brad Brigewater would have turned out as a LSU football player becuase he was recruited in both .

These kids go to all the same camps and all star tourneys as the seniors. Kids are getting offered scholarships at this age.

I don't think Keys is/was debating that he is getting offers or attention, I think his point was more towards the fact that 4 years out is a little premature to rank the class. Alot can and will change.

I've watch him play and I don't think he's a UNC or DUKE guy right now. I know he has a lot of room to improve but I just don't see it.
And guys remember Tack was rated the best Freshmen in the country at one time and that didn't last too long.

if he wants to leave the state he should hook on with the darrow steamroller up in stillwater.

Also, the preferences of high school kids change more than fashion trends in big cities. It doesn't really matter where a kid wants to play when he is in the 9th grade, which Bridgewater just entered a few days ago.
Until doctors can accurately predict how much a kid will grow from the age of 14 to 19, I am not going to pay attention to the top rated prospects for the class of 2013. I knew a guy who was 6'5" as a freshman and made some of the hype lists early on. He only grew about 2 inches the next 4 years, and while he had a very successful career in D-1 and now plays pro ball in Europe, he certainly didn't become a phenom who could chose between Duke and UNC.
And like I said earlier, a 9th grader's promise doesn't mean much. The only guys who I can remember who committed that early on are Taylor King to UCLA and OJ Mayo to Kentucky. Even though they both panned out, they certainly didn't do a thing for either program.

My brother was 6'4 with a size 12 shoe when he graduated 8th grade. He is 30 now and still 6'4, with a size 12 shoe. lol. I grew another inch my freshman year of College.
