Yep--just saw it myself.

Says Hilliard has the Bayou Bengals at the top of his list.

I see that Kenny Hilliard has LSU in the lead.
LSU cannot afford to lose him. I don't think LSU can expect to get him if they take Storm and Lache (only one of these guys). Lache may not decide until late.

Thus, no storm for now.

Calros (Blur) fed us all kinds of BS, I guess.

I haven't seen him say anything since the article came out...

Why does any of this really matter? He is a 2011 recruit and everything can change a thousand times. He hasn't even played his junior year of high school yet.

Don't get me wrong. I'd rather be leading than not, but a previous poster said something about we can't take Storm and Lache and expect to get Hilliard. That just can't be right. We need two top running backs this year and we have to stop playing the "Don't take a guy this year because it will scare off the guy next year" thing. We will just get burned with that thinking.

"We" meaning the average fan following recruiting. I highly doubt coaches worry too much about loading up on top talent, no matter how the numbers may fall. While a few kids may get caught up in the numbers game, its probably as much a fallacy as the "committable offer" and character issues. "We" make a lot of assumptions.

one thing that I found interesting was in the LHSAA Top28 program (in March) this year they listed Hilliard as being 17. That is pretty old for a sophomore

At some point, LSU is going to lose a big running back. If they decide to get 2 more guys for 2010, then it can't be too appealing for both Hill and Hilliard. However, it's foolish to not offer players based on what younger guys are expected to do a year or two later because they can be pretty capricious, and they might not even pan out.

It will be interesting to see what LSU does with their running backs this year because Lache probably won't decide until near NSD. I wonder how the Storm Johnson situation will play out.

Not if he had just turned 17, that would mean he would turn 19 at the latter part of his senior year... Back when I played that was common-place and almost younge and at the very least normal for the guys I played against at Ouachita and West Monroe
