FYI- I spoke with one of his defensive coaches this week. He told me he believes that the tide could be turning in our favor with Shaun. He felt that he was really going to end up at OU, this was around March, but evidently he is becoming more and more interested in LSU. He didn't elaborate as to why, but he said he wouldn't be surprised to see him at LSU in the fall of 2010.

This will be an interesting recruiting battle to follow. As an A&M grad, I can tell you that the TexAgs premium board feels like Lewis is A&M bound. Whereever he ends up that school is getting SPEED and INSTINCTS.

Corey Nelson, Michael Taylor, and then Shaun Lewis.

imo opinion i feel that Shaun Lewis is a lot more possible than Corey Nelson, even though Nelson is a beast. I think that Lewis will be, and yes he does bring speed and athleticism.

I know that some folks are saying that Louisiana will be stocked next year.

How does it look for LBs next year. Is this why we would offer 4 or more LBs? (Beside the fact that we need more depth?)

In that case, it would make sense for us to offer Nelson, Lewis and Taylor.

Mo-City..Hwy 6..in da house!

Hightower High is downright sick..looks like a JuCo campus..BRCC would be jealous.

It would be nice to land Lewis from Hightower, especially after Hightower and Katrina, helped get Augustin into Austin.

Beau Fitte from S. Plaquemines HS is the only 2011 LB making noise for next year. I heard some good things about Vondray Vallere but who knows at the LB spot for 2011.

Id say Shaun Lewis is the best linebacker out there that we have the most legitimate chance of signing. If we were to offer his buddy Tony Hurd then Id say we most definitely sign him but it looks like that offer wont come.

Nelson seems like hes going to OU, just feels that way to me. Maybe we can impress him on a visit and sway him our way.

Corey Nelson is headed to OU for sure.

I am fairly confident that Shaun Lewis is LSU bound. I think if Hurd a an offer and was on board Lewis may have already pulled the trigger.

Either way We will have Lewis, Maclin, Welter, and Muncie. That's a solid group and you can throw in Bates at MLB.
