it felt like a hollow victory. I know a win is a win but our offense is very discouraging. All those opportunities we had and we only managed 2 runs in regulation and 3 total.

This team is talented enough to win it all and I guess that's why I felt let down. They refuse to win easy. Believe me I am thrilled with the win but something is off. I would rather them keep on winning ugly than lose pretty but it's just weird.

This baseball team sort of reminds me of the 2007 football team. They get it done but they make it hard on themselves.

Maybe this was their wakeup call. I feel bad complaining and realize other favorites lost. However this is LSU baseball and we know what we can do.

Thank you again pitching staff. I know Coleman will be on and we only need an couple to win in the championship round so I apologize for not feeling good about this win.

I forgot I am a bad fan........and I guess Smoke should still be the coach for getting to Omaha.

Nothing wrong wtih loving the Tigers.....but this is a gd open forum and we can express our concerns.

I assume you are the type that thinks we will win it all until it's over then be dumbfounded.

Please allow yourself to accept reality. I promis you PM is not happy how the game unfolded on the offensive end.

Chill out brosef. It's baseball, you're going to have games like that. How much did Texas score in 24 innings? Rice lost, UCI lost - we're in great shape. Nothing to be down about, the bats will be there.

sometimes I wonder if these D'bags like dandan have ever watched college baseball. We only gave up 2 runs! sober up. Great game, GEAUX TIGERS!

I have been following LSU baseball since before they once made it to the CWS. I also vividly remember the Stanford grand slam against Big Ben.

Here's some more -
I still am bothered (but near as much by our domination in Omaha) by us playing UGA for the SEC regular season title late in 1990 and beating them down with a sweep. Then, we saw them win it all in the postseason.

I remember simple things like how Johnny Telechea liked to slap the hard tag on runners when pitchers threw back....or our all star catcher Craig Faulkner playing an April fools joke on Skip when he hobbled in on crutches and acted like he broke his leg. Or how about when UNO was a force in the 1980s and we broke through. I can still remember Jim Bowie doing a split at 1st. How about Brett Boone coming to BR when he played at USC and was the man. I have never seen a better regional tha that. LSU stil managed to win thanks to Rich Cordani aka the bulldog.

So guess what....I have followed some things and I love the Tigers.

Not to mention Pat Garrity getting it done against A&M.

Thanks for the walk down memory lane and I remember most of those, too...and was in College Station for that win. And anyway...why are you bringing all of this up to validate? What does this have to do with the original point of your lack of satisfaction of tonight's performance?

So dandan is just a pessimistic and has no faith in our team.

The fact that you've been around and still don't know the game makes you even more of a retard.

close games happen all the time in baseball, the diff is that championship caliber teams win those games and for you not to understand that makes you an idiot

I am thrilled to be in the winners bracket but I stil think this team is capable of much more than struggling against a team that shouldn't have been in the tourney.

I felt the need to recap old, great memories to show these "new" fans I have some perspecitve on things.

I know we all support the Tigers but it is laughable how some of these people are with their blinders on.

How many "points" are we going to need to win tomorrow?

I have been lucky enough to play against some of the greats of the 1990s teams when I was growing up.

I was just trying to provide a little objective talk to what this team is up to.

We are lucky to have such a good team.....but our teams of the past have spoiled me and I am hungry to do it again (and I know this team and coach can do it).

Here's the thing, nothing that happened on Saturday was any different than what has happened all year.

All year we have struggled with LHP, and all year our BA has dipped significantly with runners in scoring position. Its not that our players aren't talented, it isn't that they aren't playing hard. We just don't have a consistent bat that can challenge a good-great pitch in a clutch situation(two or more bats of that nature would be nice.) And the struggles against LHP, well that has been well documented. Having Matt Clark on this team would make us far and away the best team in college baseball. No one would even come close.

I don't see why you should feel the need to complain so much after a win, with problems that have been present and aren't going to really correct themselves in mid-season.

There is no doubt that you have watched LSU for 20-25 years and are a fan of some sort. No argument there. Keep in mind that on this Saturday in '92, although the regional format was different, we were ousted in our own regional and done so in an embarrassing fashion by CSF.

We're 2-0 in our current regional and yes, it appears we have struggled. Meanwhile, Arkansas is looking like the NY Yankees in Norman and Bama might as well have played under the name Tuskeegee. Baseball is one sport where timing matters so, so much. Just be glad we are 2-0 and L Coleman hasn't even sniffed the diamond yet.

Bama, Texas State, George Mason, and others sure didn't expect to be done within 24 hours. Baseball...it just isn't football.

On here...much ado about nothing. Everyone on the OT only bangs 10's, too.
