I can't support ruining a good slab of back strap with any sauce, but thats just how I roll

i have made folse's blackberry bbq sauce several times and put it over pork. never tried it on backstrap but i bet it would be good.

This may be a dumb question (I'm a girl who doesn't hunt) but is there anywhere you can purchase deer products? Sausage, back strap, jerky, etc.?

i have purchased sausage from vines in centreville ms. i am not sure how they are allowed to sell it however. have never seen backstrap or tenderloin anywhere to buy.

I've seen venison cuts advertised via internet but I have no idea as to the quality of these products...plus they tend to be insanely overpriced. Best bet...find a buddy to supply it. Most people are pretty "giving" when it comes to reasonable requests for deer meat. Plus it provides a good excuse for a cook-out.

I'd check with Bellues Cajun Meats in BR
