The bowl of the New Alex Box looks pretty much complete. Only thing needed looks to be the finishing of the dugouts. Since last week they put in the final purple seats and laid the "fake" dirt along the foul territory.

This is a beautiful view of one of the entrances to the new ball park. Just look at those majestic oaks and shade. Looks like some nice tailgating spots.

Here are more Photos for those interested.

i would like to see the view from the seats so we can see the whole field. Does anyone know if they have the scoreboard up yet? I can't wait for this thing to open

I haven't seen any photos of the outfield in Alex Box lately but they are currently assembling the Tiger Park scoreboard. So, I would think they will start soon, if not already.

Majority of the stadium/field looks like it will be ready to go for Feb. 20th. But there's still a lot of work to do around the stadium, not to mention the indoor practice facility (I think that's what that is) out by right field.

For play, its ready. I think people fail to realize the things that are left are purely cosmetic.

It doesn't take a month to lay sod, paint some walls, hang doors and put peanuts in the concessions.

Sure there will be some things that are not finished. But its obvious they are trying to get as much done as the lights have been on the past 3-4 nights

The advertising goes up before the scoreboard.

Now that's LSU.

Read my post again. I said the "bowl" is pretty much complete. Look at the first photo and tell me what else needs to be completed. It's within days of completion.

Thanks so much!
It looks just beautiful! I'm very, very happy to see that this has come to fruition after being rather sad about the old Alex Box.

Why did they put in gold seats in the new Box? I thought in the old Box the gold seats meant nobody could sit there.

ETA: I wonder how many asses will actually be in the gold seats this season...

Actually where the advertising is now is where the scoreboard goes and it'll be that size, whereas the advertising space will be the huge area above.

Don't you mean corn-dogs...

Looks more complete than some of the rantards on here make it sound like. I'm ready!
