One of the greatest all around players ever. He was Johnny Unitas before Johnny U, and Ray Guy before Ray Guy. One of the five best football players of all-time. RIP, another legend bites the dust.

Had some encounters with LSU. QBed TCU when they beat the Tigers 3-2 in the 1936 Sugar Bowl, and was hc at Hardin-Simmons when they played the 58 Tigers in TS.

Greatest Redskin ever and one of the best to ever play the game. Wish I could've seen him play. RIP Slingin Sammy.
