Chairbacks are being installed. Won't be much longer before the fan amenities are complete and ready for opening day.

If they wanted to spray paint a masterpiece they could have.

In the backdrop, if the guard rails in-between the steel beams are permanent not temporary, instead of more attrctive wrought-iron, please tell me they are at least going to be painted the same color as the beams and/or seats black iron base?

They look very generic in the silver metallic finish.

And yes, purple seats would've looked better for LSU's purposes. The same guy at LSU that ordered the bronzed sabretooth tigers, must have ordered up the nostalgic MLBesque hunter green seats?

It wouldn't be LSU and/or Louisiana construction quality, if the details weren't fumbled away despite pricetags..just look at LSU's 40M New Upper with it's plumbing elbows and spray insulation underbelly exposed, or it's cracked edging tiles with nothing underneath near the elevators.

The rails are very acceptable as is, just not ideal.

The railings are galvalnized. They never need to be painted.... ever. This is better for the long term. Unlike the railings in the old box that needed paint constantly.

There will be gold and purple seats. My ticket invoice says "purple seats, club, dugout".

Why install the seats, if there is anything to be primed and painted P&G in place? LSU doeesn't hire quality enough help to not make a mess on that newly finished concrete nor color outside the lines..those are permanent.

Just look at TigerStadium's section number stencil jobs, or spray-painted rusty chainlink of purple all over the wallbase where the fence poles meet.

That's called galvanized steel. Very low maintenance. Wrought Iron or any other raw steel is very high maintenance. Needs to be painted to keep from rusting.

Most new baseball parks use green seats. It's a generic, mass produced (i.e. less expensive), seat color these days.

I don't think they'll be painting those seats. Stadium seats are usually molded plastic - which these are. The color is achieved by using die in the molten plastic before they pressurize the molds to make the seat pieces.

They could paint them but the seats are plastic and even if you used a plastic modifier in the paint it would flex too much when people sat in it making the paint flake off and crack.

They could paint the frames though - that is metal.

The new Alex Box is going to be a hell of a stadium no matter what color the seats are. I remember at the first football game of the season saying, "there's no way they're going to finish that by baseball season."
