Did Hawkins even know the ball was thrown to the man he was covering?

He didn't have clue where the ball was.

The whole D was confused and the call came from the sideline late. Alos, McCray was hurt the play before and tried to get out of the game but the coaches didn't sub for him.

McCray didn't look like he could run or even pick his arms up. Hawkins-lost as a goose. Raises the question-why is Eugene sitting the bench? Seems to me, unless you have a really big physical WR you need Hawkins for, he is no better than the #3 CB on our roster.

Where was the safety help? It was a bad call by the coaches. Why do play calls always come in late? It was a huge play. Call a timeout if the defense isn't set or someone is hurt.

This bothers me more than anything else that happened yesterday. He was obviously hurt and he tried to get the coaches to send in someone for him. When it was obvious that no one was coming in, he just kind of stood in the middle of the filed with his arm dangling at his side. We had 3 time outs! Call a TO get a healthy player in there and set your D.

Peterson is the only decent cover guy. Hawkins looked good earlier in the year b/c everyone picked on Eugene. But we've seen how bad Hawkins is with the emergence of Peterson.

Then they should've called time out. You don't leave a play like that up to chance. Hawkins was burned repeatedly throughout the day.

I am still in Little Rock and I am still amazed that the corners had no over the top coverage help. The corners had little support all day yesterday.

Looked like a replay of 2002.

This was absolutely the fault of our 2 DC's and our HC!

Our kids were out of position and confused.

Why in the world with 3 timeout available we didn't use one is beyond explanation....

The cb had no help over the top....

From what I saw there were 10 men in the box.

WHY???

No excuses the DC's need to go.

To bad for McCray, the previous play (I believe) he really dropped the hammer on the receiver. He was hurt. They should have called timeout!

And who was our secondary coach back then. Give you a hint, he was really short, had pretty hair, and liked to bop jailed former governor's wives on the side. And that was over a DB now playing on Sundays, if I remember correctly.

I know it would have helped Arkansas but with how much the LSU defense was scrambling prior to the snap I was surprised to see Miles not take a timeout at that point. The scramble left that play man to man and LSU got burned.

This one of many reasons of why we need a change in staff

I went to Little Rock to see the game, a long way to go from Houston to see that. I noticed, for the first time, the defense could not seem to get the plays for the sideline coach all game long. If you watched the defense was constantly requesting the coaching staff hurry up with the play. The fumble recovery that was reversed was one such play. The coaches were late getting the call in and the defense never got into position and they left the receiver wide open.

Tough game, long way to go for such a poor defensive showing.
