On the one side of the ring that has the Sugar Bowl Trophy on it you will notice a LSU Helmet along with the letters JB. This "JB" stands for longtime equipment manager Jeff Boss. Jeff had worked as the equipment manager for 24 years and had died of brain cancer shortly after the 2003 season started. LSU had dedicated the 2003 season to Boss and the Tigers wore the letters "JB" on their back of their helmets for the remainder of the season. In addition, the Tigers wore a black patch with the letters "JB" on their jerseys for the remainder of the 2003 season.

JB is for Jeff Boss, who died that year. the players initials are oranged out. At one point Alley Broussard's ring was on ebay, could be again for round 2.

Don't the players get more than one ring; as in one from the school and one from the BCS, or such?

I think its 3. One is the SEC champs, one is the BCS champs, and one is the national champs (school).

That guy "ymar" has been trying to sell that and another one (missing a stone) for almost 2 years. He originally wanted 12K+ because he said a booster bought a Fla. one for 20k the year they won. He obviously doesn’t understand tax deduction. He use to leave comments for himself saying how beautiful the ring was and if "he" owned it he wouldn’t sell if for less than >>>fill in some outrageous number<<<. I like to mess with him with some low ball offer or ask him some crazy question about the authenticity. He is a foreigner so he freaks out. That is how you can tell he writes his own comments. He does have some nice rings.
