Snap Fitness or Anytime Fitness??

Which one would you join if given the choice? Is one better or worse than the other?

Depends on where you live. The closer the better imo. I am surrounded by anytime fitnesses so i can go to multiple locations

I used to be at Snap, now I am at Anytime. Both are pretty much the same with equipment. However here in my area Anytime is twice the size. Anytime also offers tanning FWIW.....but this is something I wont ever need/use.

If you travel much, I'd also look at which one has the most/best locations in the areas you travel to.

i used to be a member at anytime. it was kind of expensive, but I'm assuming Snap costs about the same? I think they are about the same in terms of equipment and stuff, minus the tanning. Do you really need a 24/7 gym though? I thought I would use it at odd hours, but it turned out that I only ever went between 7-11 am when normal gyms are open. The membership at regular gyms generally is cheaper than at least anytime was. It ended up costing me about $60 a month

We belong to Snap because it is closest to our house. It is $60 a month total for both of us. I like it fine.

The only reason I might leave is to join a gym that has aerobic and other classes.

I can't stand big gyms because of all the other shite that goes on in them. Plus they have to many peeps working out at one time.

Most of the time when i go to workout there are only like 4 people in the gym w/ me.

Definitions and Bally's are the two best gyms in the area. If you live close to either, I'd recommend those.
