LAST YEARS LSU TEAM GRADUATED AS WE ALL KNOW SOME KEY PLAYERS....THERE ARE 3 POSITIONS THAT ARE HARD SHOES TO FILL ON A FOOTBALL TEAM AND USUALLY IT REQUIRES A TEAM TO REBUILD A YEAR OR SO...THOSE POSITIONS ARE....

...QUARTERBACK
...OFFENSIVE LINE
...THE SECONDARY

2 OF THE THREE ARE NEW.....BEING ABLE TO MAKE PLAYS IN THE PASSING GAME IS KEY IS A BIG GAME...THE QB'S ARE NOT SENIORS LIKE FLYNN AND OR MAUK WAS....JAMARCUS RUSSELL SUCKED TOO, HIS FRESHMAN YR AND EVEN MADE BAD DECISIONS HIS SOPH. YEAR......IT TAKES TIME TO DEVELOP MOST QB'S....ALSO WITH THE PERRILOUX BS...IT MADE THE TIME AND PREPARATION THAT LSU PUT INTO A TOP QB...JUST GET SET BACK YEARS BY PERRILOUX CUTTING LSU NUTZ AT THAT POSITION.....

IN THE SECONDARY YOU HAVE TOTALLY NEW PLAYERS WHO NEED ONE SEASON BACK THERE TOGETHER TO BECOME EXPERIENCED.....THIS SPOT WAS HARDLY HIT DUE TO GRADUATION LAST YEAR REALLY THE LAST 2 YRS HAVE GRADUATED KEY PLAYERS IN THE SECONDARY....

THIS YEAR LETS FACE IT......FLORIDA RETURNED EVERYBODY FROM LAST YEARS TEAM.....GEORGIA, I THINK LSU CAN HANG WITH AND ALABAMA WILL BE VERY TOUGH BECAUSE OF SATAN......SOUTH CAROLINA, OLE MISS WILL ALSO BE TOUGH GAMES BECAUSE LSU PLAYS CLOSER TO THEIR LEVEL THIS YEAR BECAUSE OF THE NEWNESS OF THE TEAM......WHEN YOU LOOK AT IT LSU REALLY SHOULDNT HAVE BEAT AUBURN...PLENTY OF LUCK ENSUED IN THAT GAME FOR LSU....

...oops sorry for the caps.....

only things i feel like lsu could improve on with in house things are on defense......the scheme of things for lsu has to put more pressure on the opponents qb's......say what you want but the secondary is getting burned anyway...you may as well put more pressure....now the dc could eaisly put in so many differnt blitz packages and hybrid dfensives to stop the spread because the timing and the angles change in that offense...but the coach isnt choosing to do this.....i dont see the defense in spots playing to their potential and sometimes you have to adjust your defense to involve those playrs more to their ability and thus far they havent.....it seems like we are just sitting back and taking it up the yazoo.....anyways...just my 2 cents.....

THIS YEAR IS THE LAST YEAR OF PLAYERS FROM THE SABAN ERA....I LIKE MILES' SMOOTHNESS IN TERMS OF COACHING...BUT HIS ABILITY TO RECRUIT THE RIGHT PLAYERS AS SABAN DID WILL LOOKED TO SEEN BECAUSE NOW THAT SABAN IS WINNING......HE WILL GRAB ALL THE TOP POSITIONS OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL INSTEAD OF LSU GETTING THEM AS THEY DID SO WELL THE LAST 6,7 YEARS.....

STILL IN ALL OF THIS THEY ARE STILL 4-1...

dude

our DL and OL got manhandled last night

they're both experienced and talented, and their ineffectiveness (along with horrible coaching) is why we lost

O LINE WAS NEVER GIVEN A CHANCE to kick in...

defensive line falls under different practice techniques and mentally are different cause of the change in coordinators......

...bottom line lsu lost and will have growing pains in the secondary.....one of the stellar corners from last year would of had harvin not mc cray on that first touchdown..when you have a good experienced secondary...your able to do different things with your defense attack wise that other wise you cant do when ur getting burned and vice versa with the front giving your secondary more of a chance with the pressure from the front.....that punch in the eye wouldnt have happened....flynn/perriloux would have made plays early to make lsu's run to half a close game.....heck with flynn and the graduated corners alone...the score would have been more like 14-7 lsu at half......lsu is young in certain positions and need games like this to grow......

it's the same defense with the same preparation and the same DL coach

a. no they wouldn't

b. they wouldn't have been guarding harvin. he lined up in the slot. last year mccray had the same responsibility. last year he got burned a lot in that same role. i thought you were a coach? how did you miss this?

we're doing the same shite this year that we did last year. we got burned last year multiple times

nope

our first half playcalling was the same as it was against arky when flynn and company squandered 3 scoring opportunities

If you were a coach, you would know there is no excuse for losing as bad as we did. It was bad.

Losing to Florida I expected. Having them hang 51 on us is unacceptable.

you have no idea what you're talkinga bout

your entitled to your opinion but what i stated is a fact....maybe the same d line coach and same preparation is their on d line but do you have any idea if that d line coach is subject to new things this year because of the change in coordinators?...if u do please share your info cause any body who knows defense would see a complete difference in the way lsu on defense plays this year coupled with new players...the defense is going thru growing pains....

...oh and by the way the way...slot players CAN BE matched up anywhere on the field with corners especially they are their money players(i hope your not a player because all you do is funnel that same philosophy from your coach..lol)...this is something you never noticed cause ur just a arm chair wanna be qb who doesnt understand specifics

...several new players on defense are on the field now.....different coordinator equals different philosophy.....you can see the difference even against miss state...lol...

...harvin a their best "go to" reciever...you can bet zenon or whats his name that played the other corner last year would had harvin covered...just ask raymond who coaches at lsu...if they arent then guess what lsu is stupid

...ill admit for a little bit that some what lsu does is kinda matching from last year in certain situations but as the season carried on, earlier than now, pelini started to open up the potential of the defense and do more with his players....

...again look at the amount of pass break ups/ints and sacks stats from last year.....big difference than last year..... the lsu d was rated top 20 all year to put it mildly.....now they arent even close

.....and yes with those players in the secondary experienced and the qb postion experienced the game would have been completely different

......sorry dude ur out of your league.....

for lsu to be better they will have to go thru growing pains(losing a few games) with their new players/new dc to grow from it and become better....

Not arguing that point. But we are headed into game six, and the team is regressing, not progressing.
