All these brands below have a solid reputation, dealers in most markets to repair your product, and all are a good price versus value products.
Gravely
Toro
Scagg
I would stay away from badboy or Spartan due to the 60" units love to throw belts.

I bought a new Scag freedom z pro in 2015. I think I paid 6800 plus tax. It's the lower end commercial unit but does everything I need and then some. Mine has the 61" welded deck and the 24 hp Kawasaki. It will cut grass much faster than I feel comfortable cutting. I got mine at The Amite county coop in Liberty Ms.

I have the exact mower you are looking at. Gravely is a good mower and I like mine. Can cut my few acres in about an hour. It's way more than I needed but I found a used deal I couldn't pass up. I have the Kawasaki motor and it's a beast.

I got a Gravely 52" Pro Turn I'm trying to sell, if you're interested....

Anyone here use the bobcat ztr? Girlfriends uncle sells them and they seem to be heavy duty. I have never really heard of them before.

what did you do with the mower with the blown motor? If you still have it are you interested in selling it?

Look at the Bad boy maverick. It has an ez ride system that absorbs the bumps so you can go faster. Then upgrade the seat. All total under 7K for a lower end commercial mower.

I just bought a husqvarna semi-commercial mower
Check out SLE equipment online. Their package with weed eater and chainsaw was cheaper than the mower alone
I bought a 52 but they also have a 61
ETA: 4000 for the package I bought
Amazon has mower alone for 4800. The package is a steal

I've had a Scag with the Kawi engine since 2005ish, cutting 2.5 acres. Been nearly flawless, and recommend to everyone that asks.

Scag on higher end and I have very few issues with the ones I sold.
In his price point run from badboy and Spartan. They pulleys do not hold up and the 60" thrownbelts. Spartan and Badboy are basically similar due to owners split up one starting Spartan. I dropped the badboy line due to this and the mower meh avg and there are a lot of other options in his price range. For what you pay your are not getting a good value like the below lines. Service wise good luck dealing with them.
The companies below are larger and have better buying power. The transmissions all come from one mfg most of the time they are running the same ZT-3100. The engines are Kawasaki and Kohler confident. One customer hates Kawasaki due to valve issue while one likes Kohler. Again, these guys have the buying power. Decks most of them are engineered better and hold up better.
Gravely, been around along time and great dealer network. It is a decent product.
Scag, higher level lines are great while the entry level price point mowers, meh! Again, scag always been great at being a higher level unit.
Toro- lower level is what it iswhile the mid range lines are good value. They also have a great dealer network.
Cub cadet- if you can find a dealer the 60" z force LE and 60" z force LX is a good value and I have been surprised for the money they held up well. They have the dual tanks.
Sorry forgot husqvarna. They have a good dealer network and on warranty issues very easy to work with. Translates into better customer service.

I bought the commercial grade Tiger Cub, wanted the 48 inch deck so I could get in tighter places. Do you have any recommendations on engine replacement should I ever need to? I'm over 500 hours on the Kawi and if I have to replace it I want as much torque as can put on the mower. Would even consider a diesel if it fits on my model.

Bought a Bad Dog Alpha MP this weekend and do not regret it. I have a little over 3 acres, looks great and did not take long at all. For the price this is an awesome mower.

I have 2 of the Dixie Chopper 50" Mowers and have been pleased with both. One is the Silver Eagle w/ the 25 HP and 12cc pumps. My other is 27HP and 16 cc pumps. They perform about the same, but I expect the Classic (27 hp) to last longer just because of the bigger engine and pumps.
Mine don't have the springer front ends, but wish they did. Paige lawnmower in Mandeville does all of my service work and I can't say enough good about them.

Snapper pro is by far the most mower for the money available in South Alabama. Its built like a tank and has the same deck as a Ferris

Let me check my books on Monday I have not forgot about you.
I have 4 small Honda diesels that are built for the EasternEuropean market in crates.
Want to check the specs on them before I say you can use those.
Been busy in one of my shops selling mowers and snow blowers are coming in for tune ups. Pulled 60 units out of the crate and 45 of them sold. I have 2 church groups that I am shipping tillers and parts in a few containers to in Africa. It is an early season for us.
