oddly enough... I know personally two people that won big LA Lottery jack pots in the 90s...

one... borrowed money from the same two guys each week to buy tickets.. when he won he never so much as thanked or did anything for the two guys... they are bitter to this day.. got divorced - remarried.. lived hard and fast... last i heard he was back at his old job... .right where he started...

another.. already had a real comfortable life.. was fairly well off but not extremely weatlthy... was friends with his son...in hs... dang near every close relatives kids have college paid for and trusts for business start ups.....the tide raised all the boats in the harbor for this guy...


money doesn't change people.... it usually changes the people around them.. which is where the trouble starts...

the wealthiest person I know/knew in my age group - died at 45 alone and miserable.... yeah he had a hot stripper girlfriend.. but trust me.. he died alone...


I'd buy the place I grew up hunting.............and I got an old childhood friend who has fallen on disastrous times.... those of you that know me.. know what I would do..
