If it's better than the E, that's really saying something. IMO, the E was the best Curado they ever made (even better than the old greenie C series)

Calcutta

freaking this!

I have calcuttas that are 14 years old and still work great. I've replaced a few bearings along the way, but that's to be expected. Wish I had a couple more Caluctta GTBs

Yeah those E series were $$$. Last years Chronarch is the same exact reel.

I love the Calcuttas for live bait. I would much rather a smaller reel for fishing with artificial.

The 100 is pretty smooth. Some just like the low profile though.

When I'm fishing live bait with a carolina rig I'll use my 400B Calcutta. But anything other than that I'm using a low profile

I think we have a 400 for offshore and it never gets used.

I have 3 200s and a 100...all new reels will be 100s. But I catch bull reds by mistake.

I'm gonna try to get a few old reels this summer. I'm convinced the 200BSF is the best damn reel ever made

My brother lucked out and picked up a few original NIB Bantams from an old guy that owns a sporting goods store near Fayetteville.

Puglia's always seems to have awesome deals on Shimano reels.

I have caught Academy pricing reels incorrectly and getting a major steal
