My son asked for a whitewater kayak trip for his 16th birthday. He specified "whitewater kayak trip." We fish out of kayaks pretty often, but I need help with this one. We would like to spend the night somewhere on the shore as well. Would be this Spring. Grateful for any help.

Are you going to be doing this yourselves or going with an outfit/guide? Where are you and how far are you willing to go?

Nice easy class 2 river. We did duckies but next time I want to do kayaking.

Nantahala Outdoor Center

This is a good place to start looking. There are plenty of rivers in the area to go down. You could easily make a long weekend of it and go down 2-3 rivers.
