It hasn't been very good here (southwest louisiana, more specifically Cameron Parish) lately in the second split like it normally is. What gives? The weather has been prime for waterfowl. Hopefully this arctic front will push em all down to us. How is y'all seasons going?

Plenty of geese. Not many ducks. But that's normal for us.

Been hit or miss since 2nd split opened in Cenla

Catahoula Lake has been pretty bad with a good day or two mixed in. Have hunted Beouf River WMA the last couple days. Has been decent until this morning. Didn’t fire a shot.

My buddies had a miserable hunt this morning in Sabine NWR, and that's pretty rare.

We found about 10,000 ducks sitting in a hole about a mile from the lease yesterday. We shoot 2 ducks this morning. Went ride by this afternoon and they are still there.

I’ve tslked to people in many parts of LA today; met rouge, pecan island, lacassine, gueydan, thornwell, and none of them had good reports. Most of have been saying it is the worst duck season they have ever seen.

Your talking to the wrong people in pecan island. We have been having good hunts. Mallards showed up in good numbers right after Christmas. This Am we had mallards, pintail, canvas back, red head, greys and teal. Been here since Wednesday

Southeast Arkansas around lake village has been tough. Blinds that kill 500-600+ Every year have struggled to break 100 so far. Plenty of specks. We saw a ton of ducks this am but they were extremely skittish. The last week has seen an influx of birds but two mornings were total freeze outs and next week will be a skating rink. Tons of high birds last few days somebody must have them.

Our camp has done a good bit better this year than we have done in the past several years.....particularly when we had that stretch of cold weather a few weeks back.

I am anxiously awaiting this next polar blast!

Hopedale here. No ducks last two days. No ducks opening day second split. Sprinkles of limits though in between. It’s crazy!

I’m not particularly fond of him at the moment. He’s been an a-hole this week. teenagers.

Shot a hand full of teal yesterday just west of dularge. They have been doing well there this year but it has slowly gotten worse.
