Clegg's is best in town that I've found (price & quality). I think Clegg's on Greenwell Springs is larger and has more selection.

Better hurry because all deliveries will be backed up with ~2 week back log very soon. Next weekend looks nice and I expect it to be the full on rush for spring yard prep.

fwiw - I switched to pine straw and buy about 25 bails don't recall the price - it seems to last a little longer than mulch - and I've tried all types. jmo.
I would ask cleggs.

There is a mulching plant in Port Allen that will sell it by the truck load. Don't know the name of the place. I can find out later and maybe there prices too. I have a family member that works there.

I stopped at the place on hwy 190 in Port Allen named southern mulch. They wouldn't sell me any because I "wasn't in the business". Cash money, would have taken them 5 minutes to load me Don't understand ?? They had mountains of mulch

That's called being a whole seller. They can't sell it to you without a business license.

And I 2nd the pine straw recommendation.
