Lowrance hds if you can afford it, the Elite series is the next step down and pretty good too.
IMO Lowrance is more user friendly than humminbird for someone just getting into electronics. But there are a lot of people who say the same thing about humminbird, so I guess go to BPS and mess with a couple and see what suits you the best.

My point still stands though. Mathews was at one point, arguably the best in the business. However, the gap has been closed drastically. You can find some fine shooting bows from just about every company. It comes down to comfort levels really.

And I'm not real sure why you laugh at Bear or PSE. The Motive 6 and 7s are 340-350 fps shooters with all the bells and whistles. They're fast and super quiet.

PSE has been making scorching bows for several years now, and they have several mainline bows that can shoot with the latest waffle Mathews decides to put out year in and year out.

Yup. And people use them to drag deer out of woods. They float with a sizable load and are super tough from the reviews I have read. If I don't get one for Christmas, I'm just gonna buy one soon.

First, the fit/finish is weak in comparison. Second, fps doesn't mean anything if I can't pull it. Looking at IBO speeds is not a very good predictor of speed for an individual.

Maybe for you, but others could say just the opposite.

It does if your weak little cigarette arms are only pulling 40-50 pounds. A faster bow with a heavier arrow can mask some of those deficiencies.

You know how I know you're a Mathews fan boy?

No, it doesn't.

Not really sure which brand yet. I don't really know which brands are better than others. I know I want one with 60 hz refresh rate, the most pixels, and good magnification. I know, pretty vague

I've actually just started looking into them. Any tips?
